Education and Public Engagement

I enjoy studying various aspects of bird ecology. I graduated from the masters program in wildlife biology and conservation at NCBS in 2018. For the last two years (including my masters dissertation) I had been working in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand with the Centre for Ecology Development and Research (CEDAR), studying the various threats to oak forests and its effects on bird communities. I have been an obsessive birder for the last 5 years and enjoy spending time in forests. Most of my friends claim that I took up this previous project just as an excuse to see as many western Himalayan species as possible (this might be partially true). Apart from my academic interests and of course birding, I enjoy quizzing and playing a bunch of sports like ultimate frisbee and football.
