Research Assistant, High Altitudes

After completing his Master’s in Environment and Development from Ambedkar University Delhi in 2019, Kartik began working as a research intern at the Centre for Urban Ecology and Sustainability. His research interests centre around the political ecologies and geographies of human-animal interactions. He is deeply interested in understanding the many ways in which the worlds of humans and animals are enmeshed, the ways in which animals co-construct and shape human identities, meanings, histories, cultures, technologies, politics, and the ways in which animals transgress human imaginings and orderings by exerting their own agencies and subjectivities. When not engaged in research work, Kartik loves playing football.
