Research Assistant, High Altitudes

Belonging from the Garhwal mountains of Uttarakhand, Rashmi has been driven by her keen interest in understanding the Himalayan ecosystem. During and after completion of her Master’s in Environmental Studies and Resource Management from TERI University, her research work has largely been on conservation issues at the interface of ecology and society across the Himalayan and Trans-Himalayan regions in India. In pursuit of her larger inclination towards research-based community-led conservation, she is particularly interested in exploring the socio-ecological connectedness of wildlife and human communities of Himalaya.
