I've been interested in marine life since childhood. Broadly, my areas of interest are reef fish behaviour and coral reef ecology. After completing my Masters from Pondicherry Univerity's Dept. of Oean Studies and Marine Biology, Andaman Islands, I worked under the existing larger project on Dugongs in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, to quantify blue carbon reserves in the Islands.

Currently, I work in the Lakshadweep Islands, looking at how declining coral reef structure (due to climate change) affects meso (mid-sized) predators on the reefs as well as inter-species interactions.  This work is part of our larger coral reef resilience study and over time, I hope to contribute to larger conservation efforts.
