Bsc. in Botany hons from Miranda house, Msc. in Environmental sciences from Jawaharlal Nehru University
I am a researcher passionate about bridging environmental science and botany, with a deep fascination for the Trans-Himalayas—where the land and its people embody resilience and harmony with nature. This region also stands on the frontline of climate change, a key focus of my work. My research delves into the present and future dynamics of soil carbon in Ladakh’s Changthang region, exploring how climate change may transform wetlands from carbon sinks to sources. I also study the impact of shifting vegetation communities on wild and domestic grazers. Additionally, I have a keen interest in small mammals, particularly pikas, and their role in ecosystem processes through bioturbation feedback.
