We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and organised colleague to help us manage our events. Some specific responsibilities are mentioned below. 

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Manage public facing events (both online and in person) at EPE including conferences, symposia, institutional engagements and nature festivals - 

  • Planning and implementing backend management of both online and in-person events

  • Coordinating publicity and creative collaterals for social media and other communication channels

  • Managing correspondence and communication about the event 

  • Being present in person for the events for management tasks (wherever possible)  

  • Managing volunteers for events and keeping accounts 

  • Keeping track of opportunities for stalls and publicity for sales

  • Helping manage online sales and in-person stalls for outreach and publicity of our educational materials 

  • Creating post-event documentation including reports, summaries of sales, learnings for the future, etc

Eligibility

  • A master’s degree OR a bachelor’s degree in any field, with at least 2 years of relevant experience

  • A keen and demonstrated interest in nature and wildlife 

  • Ability to be organised and take initiative 

  • Clear written and spoken communication skills 

  • Ability to work with teams and interact with groups of people from different backgrounds 

  • Proficiency in basic office computing tools (documents, spreadsheets, presentations) and equivalent Google apps

  • Knowledge of accounts management or a keen interest in learning

Preferred capabilities

  • Self-driven with an ability to plan and execute events

  • Volunteer/work experience in nature-focused communities or organisations

  • Keen interest and knowledge of nature and natural history in the Indian context, and interest in citizen science, and nature education & outreach

  • Basic proficiency in graphic design software (Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, Canva, or similar)

  • Written and oral proficiency in English and any one Indian language

Salary: Rs 30000 - 40000 (based on qualifications and experience) 

This is a full time position based at the Nature Conservation Foundation, Bengaluru office, with some travel, as needed.

We are the Education and Public Engagement programme at NCF. In this programme, we engage children and adults in nature observation; and develop, display and distribute nature education material. We divide our work into three main themes - education, communications and citizen science, organised into different teams. We do most of our work with and through people, aiming to reach large audiences in all the areas of our work.
