If you are interested in biodiversity, nature engagement, working with college students across India, and would like to be part of a team connecting young people with nature, we would like to hear from you!

We are looking for a Project Coordinator (entry to mid-level) who is passionate about nature, outreach, documenting biodiversity through citizen science and is experienced in co-ordinating large-scale projects. The candidate should join by 1 June 2026.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in any discipline with at least 2 years of relevant experience. In exceptional cases, candidates with a Bachelor’s degree may be considered.

  • Work experience of minimum 2-4 years in nature-focused organisations in project coordination and management.

  • Strong interest in biodiversity, citizen science through platforms like eBird and iNaturalist, and student engagement.

  • Experience in coordinating projects or working with multiple stakeholders.

  • Strong professional work ethic, with the ability to work comfortably in teams and interact with diverse groups.

  • Self-driven, with the ability to plan and execute projects with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in basic office tools (documents, spreadsheets, presentations) and social media apps like Instagram and Facebook.

What we can offer you

A fulfilling full-time role, a supportive and dynamic work environment, and the opportunity to contribute to a large-scale, impact-driven initiative engaging college students with nature across India. Salary will depend on qualifications and experience, roughly in the range of Rs. 40,000 – 55,000 per month.

You will be based at the Nature Conservation Foundation, Bengaluru office, with some travel within Bengaluru and across the country if and when needed.

We (Nature on Campus team) are a part of the Education and Public Engagement Programme at Nature Conservation Foundation (NCF). We are an enthusiastic team working towards introducing college students to nature.

  • We work closely with college students, nature clubs, and faculty across the country

  • We design and implement initiatives that engage students and institutions with biodiversity and nature

  • We develop resources, activities, and programmes that encourage observation, documentation, and appreciation of nature
