Product Marketing Manager at the High Altitude Programme

NCF’s High Altitude Programme (HAP) works in India’s high altitudes, striving to help conserve the snow leopard – as well as the diversity of life & landscapes that this beautiful cat symbolizes – in a scientifically robust and socially responsible manner. We combine research, community involvement, conservation education, and policy-level dimensions. The HAP also partners with the Snow Leopard Trust (SLT) an international not-for-profit organization that seeks to conserve the snow leopard and its habitat globally.

We invite applications for the position of Product Marketing Manager at the High Altitude Programme leading designing and running marketing campaigns and finding market linkages for an ambitious project in Ladakh focused on Ladakh Pashmina. A key expectation for this role is to set up collaborations with domestic and international fashion houses, in order to take Ladakh pashmina based intermediaries and finished products to the market.

Responsibilities and Duties

· Build relationships between local entrepreneurs from Ladakh and fashion houses in India and worldwide for marketing locally produced pashmina (cashmere) products

· Oversee efforts to create an online portal and improve digital presence of the brand

· Develop guidelines for product specifications and keep abreast of trends and current good practices in the market

· Establish knowledge base of the products - pricing, market and compliances

· Identify untapped opportunities to develop and implement promotional activities and campaigns

· Track important project metrics for reporting to donors and supporters

· Help generate content such as case studies, videos, articles and monitor the online activities and the website for Ladakh Pashmina

Experience required

· 5-7 years project management experience or creative producing experience.

· Ability to be flexible within the job for smooth completion of responsibilities.

· Capable of streamlining, improving and trouble-shooting process.

· Ability to work with a variety of personality types and cultural backgrounds.

· Ability to understand and analyze trends, and a deep understanding of the wide variety of marketing channels

· Provide independent and complete follow-through on areas of responsibility.

· Strong writing, communication and negotiation skills.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs.

Educational qualifications

· PG Diploma in rural development/ MBA in Marketing, communication or public relations from a reputed institute/Post Graduate degree in fashion designing

· Proven experience in product branding especially with apparel branding or fashion brands is preferable is preferable

· The position will be based out of Bangalore. The role may require frequent trips and travel to Ladakh.

Remuneration

Salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience. The position will be subject to a mid-term review and revision.

Term

2 years initially with a scope to extend based on project outcomes and performance.
